Host Mark McNees welcomes JJosh Orlinsky of Equiturn Holdings, a Fort Lauderdale-based multifaceted global investment bank offering regulated and non-regulated financial services including securities trading, debt/equity, investment advisory, wealth and asset management, and three funds. Linsky shares his South Florida upbringing, finance education at FSU (2009–2013), internships and post-grad work in Washington, DC in distressed assets, and how discomfort with profiting from others’ hardship helped motivate his shift to building a firm focused on helping companies through capital and restructuring. He explains Equiturn's role bridging investors and deals, outlines deal flow stages (origination, structuring, diligence, legal, close), and discusses sales, numbers, business understanding, pain tolerance, and belief as key skills. Orlinsky covers hypergrowth challenges, mindset training, and discipline habits, and advises his younger self that “the sun will rise the next day.”
